WHEN SHOULD YOU SEE A PELVIC HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPIST AFTER PREGNANCY?

Many mothers benefit from a pelvic health physiotherapy assessment after pregnancy, even if symptoms feel mild. It is recommended all moms see a pelvic physiotherapist not only postpartum, but also during their pregnancy.

You may benefit from pelvic physiotherapy if you experience:

Abdominal separation (diastasis recti)
Pelvic floor weakness or heaviness
Urinary leakage when coughing, sneezing, or exercising
Low back, hip, or pelvic pain
Pain during exercise or return to sport
Difficulty rebuilding strength after pregnancy
Uncertainty about when it is safe to return to exercise

A pelvic health assessment allows our physiotherapist to evaluate core strength, pelvic floor function, and movement patterns so you can return to activity safely and confidently.

For those ready to begin rebuilding strength, the Postpartum Physiotherapy Exercise Class provides a structured and supportive environment to progress your recovery.
