WHAT IS THE VESTIBULAR SYSTEM?

The vestibular system is a sensory system located in your inner ear, relaying information to the brain about where you are in space to keep you balanced. Your brain and eyes are also involved in this integration. If the system is compromised through aging, injury (such as a concussion), or sometimes no known cause, vestibular disorders can present.
