COMMON POSTPARTUM SYMPTOMS WE HELP WITH

Pregnancy and childbirth place significant demands on the body. Many mothers experience physical changes that can affect strength, comfort, and confidence when returning to activity.

Our Postpartum Physiotherapy Exercise Classes in Waterloo are designed to support recovery from common postpartum concerns, including:

  • Core weakness or abdominal separation (diastasis recti)

  • Pelvic floor weakness or heaviness

  • Urinary leakage with exercise, coughing, or sneezing

  • Low back, hip, or pelvic pain

  • Difficulty returning to exercise or sport

  • Reduced strength after pregnancy

  • Postural strain from feeding, carrying, and caring for a newborn

Through guided strength training and physiotherapist-led instruction, we help mothers rebuild strength safely while restoring pelvic floor and core function.

Every participant begins with a pelvic health physiotherapy assessment to ensure the program is appropriate for their individual recovery.
